Description
The ASAM Criteria Foundation Course is comprised of a comprehensive suite of competency-based learning activities in a live interactive Zoom delivery format that meets the learning needs of the multiple audiences making use of the Criteria and results in the appropriate use of the Criteria in practice. This is a practical training designed to help counselors, social workers, administrators, and other clinical staff develop patient-centered service plans and make objective decisions about patient admission, continuing care, and transfer/discharge for individuals with addictive, substance-related, and co-occurring conditions. The workshop content is based on information found in The ASAM Criteria: Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions, Third Edition, and incorporates an opportunity for participants to practice applying the information through case-based activities. Learners will have the opportunity to ask the presenter questions in real time, participate in polling questions, and break into small groups.
