Job Responsibilities:
• Provides a full spectrum of treatment services to clients referred from within the agency and other referral sources, including Sumter Pediatrics, Liberty Steam Charter, and Sumter School District.
• Using a therapeutic background, works with individuals and families to help resolve conflict and develop new coping skills.
• Works with a variety of clients, including children and adolescents age 5 to 19.
• Provides services primarily in a school setting, but also office-based with the agency and Sumter Pediatrics.
Required Qualifications:
• Master's degree in the human services field from an accredited college/university.
• Ability to clearly articulate a best practice treatment philosophy, as well as a clear understanding of the biopsychosocial assessment process.
• Certification as an Addictions Counselor by Addiction Professionals of South Carolina, or the ability to be certified within three years of hire date.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to reflect appropriate clinical records and documentation.
• Efficient computer skills in Microsoft Office programs and EHR systems.
Preferred Qualifications: • One year of experience in clinical counseling, to include group counseling.
Salary: $38,000 - $50,000
