Job Description: Full-time position for a clinical counselor in the agency's Treatment Division. Work may be in the office and/or at a local doctor's office, working primarily with children and teens.
Job Responsibilities: • Provides orientation, intake, assessment, crisis management, case management, individualized treatment plans, clinical placement of clients, and counseling to clients of all ages, including adolescents, adults, and families.
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in the human services field from an accredited college/university.
• Ability to clearly articulate a best practice treatment philosophy as well as a clear understanding of the biopsychosocial assessment process.
• Ability to be certified as an Addictions Counselor by Addiction Professionals of South Carolina within three years of hiring date.
• Ability to utilize evidence-based treatment philosophies in addressing behavioral, substance-based, and/or co-occurring issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of one year's experience in clinical counseling (to include group counseling).
• Experience facilitating individual therapy and group therapy.
Salary: $38,000 - $50,000 (commensurate with experience and credentials)
