Job Description:
Under limited supervision, the Grants & Contracts Administrator is responsible for managing the life cycle of grants and contracts, including pre-award and post-award processes. The employee works closely with agency staff across multiple divisions, sub-grantees and sub-contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the successful acquisition and management of grant objectives and funds.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provides oversight for the implementation and compliance of awarded grants and contracts.
• Ensures grantees comply with state and federal requirements and recommends or initiates appropriate action (when necessary) to protect agency interests by conducting audits, risk assessments, and business reviews of all grantees that receive funding.
• Works collaboratively with internal divisions to facilitate grant administration and report on grant progress, and evaluates the effectiveness of grant programs.
• Conducts external program evaluations, including monitoring and assessing awardee performance, as well as establishing measures for monitoring, assessing, and ensuring that awardees comply with all terms and conditions of awards.
• Acts as a liaison with external grantees, contract recipients, and awardee communities to clarify, interpret, and resolve issues.
• Works to provide clear and effective communication.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration
• Experience in contracts and grant administration activities
• Knowledge of contractual and grant monitoring procedures
• Knowledge of accounting and financial management principles and procedures
• Ability to review and assess complex grants and contracts
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with local, state, and federal agencies
• Ability to communicate effectively and with excellence in customer service

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree
• Five years of experience in grants and contracts
• Knowledge of policies and regulations that pertain to contractual and grant activities

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000
