Job Description: Position serves as Clinical Counselor reporting to the Clinical Director
Job Responsibilities:
• Provides clinical services, including intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention/management, individualized treatment plans, clinical placement, and treatment of clients, to include individual, family, and group therapy.
• Maintains contact with and conducts outreach with other community services and agencies to coordinate client services.
• Provides a full spectrum of treatment services to clients referred from within the agency and other referral sources, including Sumter Pediatrics, Liberty Steam Charter, and Sumter School District.
• Using a therapeutic background, works with individuals and families to help resolve conflict and develop new coping skills.
• Works with a variety of clients, including children and adolescents age 5 to 19.
• Provides services primarily in a school setting, but also office-based with the agency and Sumter Pediatrics.
• Serves as liaison for the agency within the school district when needed.
Required Qualifications:
• Master's degree in the human services field from an accredited college/university.
• Certification as an Addictions Counselor by Addiction Professionals of South Carolina, or ability to become certified within two years of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in substance abuse counseling.
• Certification as an LMSW, LAC, and/or LPC.
Salary: $40,000 - $52,000
